*after this thread -- well, Lloyd and Mithos are sticking around the cabin for a bit. and then walking (not sneaking) to the barrier, not quite in step. maybe you caught them on the way, or got a badly-typed email with the news. who knows.

either way, their bags are packed, and they're going.*

Mithos leaves no notes on his presents. All of them are handmade or cobbled together from bits and pieces. This is the first year he's actually cared enough to give gifts.

*crouched in one of the isolated cornfields, down low so the drying stalks hide him from view. he's got his appledoll tucked in the crook of his arm, and he's humming to her (or is it with her?)--not the clockwork song, but a different lullaby, an old elven lullaby*

*the day after this! alone on the library roof, trying to read a book, but he's just fidgeting and making faces, occasionally crumpling a page in his hand*

What do you think? Have we taken down at least one wolf?
leafmealone: (the air was thick with--)
...I don't think you're a wolf. I could be wrong, but for now I can work with that assumption.
